Description
Alwoodley is the north Leeds suburb where I live. Its name probably comes from Aethelwaldley – the woodland clearing, or ‘ley’, at Aethelwald’s farm – but there is quite a bit of woodland there too.
I’ve always liked painting, drawing and photographing trees, so it’s great to have so many almost literally at the bottom of my garden. Who says there’s no beauty in suburbia?
